14. Presumpscot Boat Launch
A welcome addition to the network, this
set of wooden steps beside a canoe-slide
allows safe and easy access to the Presumpscot
River for carry-in watercraft. The Presumpscot
River is itself a water trail allowing
endless opportunities for quiet paddling.
The boat launch also serves as the trailhead
for this section of the Presumpscot River
Trail, connecting Riverton Trolley Park
to Warren Avenue . The trail from the parking
lot to the river is handicapped accessible.
The River Trail is mostly narrow dirt track
with several wooden bridges and some steep
sections.

Parking is available at
the Waste Management lot on Route 302 (
Forest Avenue ).
