The Gould Street Commons was built in 2016 through the help of a Jane's Trust placemaking grant and supporters from the City of Portland and East Bayside Neighborhood Association. Once an overlooked wear path overgrown with weeds and trash, the parklet now allows folks to walk more easily between East Bayside and Munjoy Hill, where they might have been jumping a guardrail and clambering down the hill before.

Take note of some of the great hand-laid stone work in the parklet and enjoy a sunset view of East Bayside in this community hub. Nearby trails include the Bayside Trail, Jack Path, and Marion Street and Fort Sumner Stairs, and Loring Memorial Steps.
