  • Activities: Activities vary by trail, but include: Road biking, dog-walking, benches and picnic tables available, and numerous scenic views.

The Harborwalk Trail connects Portland’s East End beach and South Portand’s Bug Light Park, and includes paved trails, sidewalks, bridges, and portions of the South Portland Greenbelt Walkway.

From East End Beach the trail proceeds along the Eastern Promenade Trail to Portland‘s Old Port where it joins with the sidewalk at Commercial Street . Through a busy waterfront area the trail connects to Harborview Park and onto the Casco Bay Bridge . Across the bridge a ramp leads to Thomas Knight Park, South Portland ‘s waterfront market area, and the South Portland Greenbelt Walkway. The paved greenbelt leads to Bug Light Park .

Please note: As cyclists cross the Casco Bay Bridge into Portland, they are required to use the road. There are bike lanes.

Public toilets can be found at East End Beach (in summer months), Maine State Pier/Casco Bay Ferry Lines, and Bug Light Park (in summer months).
